Oh, come on. There's got to be more to it than that. I just wrote down the first wild impression that crossed my mind. Surely whatever it is was not even in the sky, unless it was taken at night with light reflecting off it.

More Clues:::

The exterior is some sort of flexible plastic... an when this item needs to be held... those who are right handed woud more than likely hold it wit ther left hand.!!!.!!!

Is it the neck of an electric lamp -- desk, floor, clip-type, etc?

No... much more flexible than that... an it can be stretched to about 5 times the length of the collapsed/relaxed position shown in the pic.!!!

Is it some kind of insulated, coiled electrical cord? Even if you still had an old phone like that, the loops (if such they are) look drawn together too closely. And lack of metal rules out the torsion spring of a garage door, which might look that tight. The springs used on some ordinary doors would be omitted for the same reason.
