What do the stats actually say? How is it worded? Quote it if it actually exists. How many crimes (unspecified as to whether there was a gun involved or not) were actually prevented by the mere presentation of a gun?

Here we go. Meanwhile, there were four deputies who were trained and armed on the scene, who cowered outside of the school in this latest shooting incident, and did nothing. But, let's keep blathering on about how this incident is strictly a gun control issue.
Certainly, this guy should never have been in possession of a gun, but honestly, he should have been arrested as soon as he broadcast on social media that he wanted to kill people. But, no one talks about that.
Many people dropped the ball, from people who knew this guy to the FBI to police...and we sit here political posturing.
