Only in the context of that advertisement video for it, and LGBT response. Not solely on the cup artwork. But you go right ahead and convince yourself whatever you feel like you need to, little buddy.

If you think that's strictly platonic, you're hallucinating.

Happiness is a warm cup.

I looked at this drawing for only a few minutes, so take the following with a grain of salt....

Not sure if this image is actually on the cup, however I did see it on the video. Regardless, I love human psychology, don't you? I think the above pic could be an example of subliminal art. Art can mean a lot of things to different people, it's the way an artist speaks. This image, IMHO, is all about gay sex, not that there's anything wrong with that but not my style. In fact, if you look real closely at the upper arm of the person on the right, let your imagination run and the word sex is spelled out.

The two people are drawn differently. One on the left is drawn with more straighter and angular lines than the curves of the person on the right. Whether or not the left is a man and the right a woman is up to you. No bust of any kind for the person on the left. I think the characters also represent a very stereotypical view of female marriage partners where one assumes the role of the male. Each face appears to be gender neutral, could just as easily belong to either sex.

Call me a pervert if you wish but when I first saw the video image posted here, it didn't take me long to notice the most glaring of all subliminal messages. If you trace down along the outline of the person on the left starting at the nose and follow down past the collar with the 3 red dots on it, there is absolutely no doubt this is a profile of the sexual act of fellatio being performed. Is it a man? No woman can look that bad, can they?  Wink It's so friggin' obvious that I'm surprised Starbuck's missed it, or did they? Maybe it was too risque for the cup but for a few seconds on a video? I am surprised no one has called them out on it. Somebody want to let them know? Should be good for a laugh. Stopped analyzing after that. Big Grin

All I needed to see to convince myself that Starbuck's isn't doing anything special, nothing any other company hasn't tried. Sex sells, plain and simple. Might as well cover the whole spectrum. Maybe I should take a closer look at that cup ....lol

The image on the cup is not related in any way to the image in the video. They're not the same. There's no reason for any sane and intelligent person to impute a gay agenda to the image on the cup. Typically it demonstrates the paranoid
mania of right wingnuts who see gay sex in everything from Disney movies to toys.

Of course they're not the same, but the ad was lauded by LGBT for a reason. You can straw man how it's only about the cup all you like, but if you think one has nothing to do with the other, you're deluded. Without the ad, there would be zero push back on the cup. Zero.

The video has nothing to do with the cup. They're different images. Evidently conservatives and you are too stupid to see that.

Wow, you had to ignore me saying "Of course they're not the same" to pull that straw man out of your ass. You aren't even honest enough to admit that the ad is the only reason for the blowback. Look, we all know you're hatefully insecure. Just try to keep a lid on it.

RU: I think a skeptic will see things different or as they truly are. Or at least offer an alternative Big Grin

In post #12 the cartoon characters' fellatio profile is blatantly obvious to me and IMHO must be intentional. Art probably was meant for the cup but Starbucks chickened out. Don't shoot me, shoot the artist. I'm thinking of letting the news agencies in on it. Wink

Don't know if people are ready for what I see in the cup's art.

indeed.
it is a deeply seated sexual phobia brainwashed into the adult as a child by other adults.
it is effectively a sexual perversion of a childs mind by adults.

usually it is co-alligned with power & Control to Brain wash children into believing men are strong and predators and women are weak and victims.
this is then reinforced overtly by the nature of power and control until the boy or girl fears anything outside that stereo type.

bible school
etc etc

Nah, you're just as hatefully insecure as MR. Makes it hard for you to follow simple English.

You do know that the ad was for the new cup, right? O_o
Any connection starting to dawn on you yet? Rolleyes

See, now you're hatefully generalizing all Christians with cultish behavior. Should we be generalizing you based on Kevin Spacey?
