you do realise that the hurricanes & tornados & wild fires in the USA is climate change and they are desperately attempting to avoid wide spread panic about it by simply avoiding the subject ?
---im not pro-shouting fire in a crowded cinema, since this message board is not very widely read it matters little.
that said, the usa is in to get its ass handed to it on a plate.
the ever increasing hurricanes because of global warming effecting sea temp and the change in the precipitation level AND the consequential increase in rain fall EFFECT the USA.
i.e florida pan handle where it already floods in the streets at high tide. new orleans and other coastal citys by river mouths.
ADDED you ARE aware of entire US towns built in flood plains that will now begin to flood again at an ever increasing rate !
much the same for countrys on the coast lines like vietnam etc which have lots of loose top soil with mountains and have high precipitation.
the increased rainfal over the next few decades which has already started is going to carve out entire towns and change coastal areas where most of their food gathering and houses are situated,
probably get lots of american unexploded bombs washing down in the streams which would be one big reason the usa wont want to have this type of thing in the media.
as for group consensus being your purported value of data sets by observation...
bystander effects puts that idea straight in the bin, along with things like eyewitness statements(how vastly wrong and innacurate they are in general)
this little saying you mentioned
Quote:"climate is not weather".
this is a few decades old and is not related to thevalidation of scientific data surrounded climate change being real or not real.
it specifically refers to the planetary cycles.
though i gues you may not be aware of that.
the scientists who were coining this phrase were refering directly to the newly discovered seasonal cycles in the sun and the long data of gobal seasonality, i.e ice ages.
i hope that helps clear it up a little.
note Puerto rico, is basically needing to be perminently evacuated.
the usa doesnt want to talk about that fact.
US tornado ally where people build tornado fallout-shelters like living in a war(war mentality being nurtured into generation after generation with heavy religous dogma)...
etc.. etc...
Colony collapse disorder & mono culture mega crops ....(great swaiths of farming land on the brink of being turned into dust bowls).
just like the old saying about being in the USA people would tell me, its the only city in the world where if you see a mugging going on you pretend you dont see it and keep moving past them.
thats a culture. the culture has not suddenly changed.
i do not like to scare people, i am generally against it, however talking of the real possibilities and how some choose to live ignorantly and then run around screaming victim & trying to point the finger... litigious society intergenerational culture/breeding....
there is plenty of smoke, hel! therte is even fire !
too many facing the other direction saying "nope im facing this way and cant see anything so nothing is wrong with me, only thing wrong is YOU"!
mean while science is being labelled the new enemy of the state religion.
(ignore my imotive tone, it helps me write)
