I was until I saw how he treated others like you here. I disagree with Syne that the ratings system should be used to demote other members for not behaving how you want them to behave. That's a slippery slope and it wasn't meant for that. It was meant for encouraging creative posts and for bonding with other members. We can all make this forum a class act. We just have stand together.

It's not just a popularity contest. Being sin binned is based on receiving negative reputation points. That is a real constrained consequence of being demoted by people's subjective moral judgment of you.

No, it is not about rally people against you personally, but it is against the bad behavior. This should be made clear by the fact I questioned someone else if s/he thought another post was respectful and considerate.  I am risking making enemies as did Jesus and Socrates, with my stand against being disrespectful, inconsiderate and cyber bullying.  

My three rules are...

1.  We respect everyone.
2.  We protect the dignity of others.
3.  We do everything with integrity.  

I stop short at pointing out violations of these rules, until someone gives me negative points.  When someone uses those points as a weapon against me, the war is on.  I don't know why you get to give people 3 bad points and I am limited to one?  Considering the bullying power this gives you I think that is wrong.   It is hard for me to understand why the owner of the forums would empower a bully and put new members in such a defenseless position.  Whatever, knowing what I know about the science of human behavior, I am confident I am on the right side of good, even if you get me banned.  I can not speak to my grandson about such things, and not take a stand against cyber bullying.    

What made the Greeks unique and got us on the track of science and advancement, is they saw universals.  A triangle is a triangle in Athens or Roman or on the moon.  They saw laws in math and geometry and  figured out such laws can also apply to people.  We do not a king who rules against one man, and rules against another differently.  We have laws that are enforced on everyone equally.  Get it?  It is not about you personally, but the laws, the agreements, what makes things good and what makes things bad.  

We will win against me, but the forum will not win if it allows your abuse to continue.

Why are you trying to make forum rules? Are you a moderator or admin? I didn't even know I could give more negative points than anyone else, but I assume it's because I've accumulated more positive points. I gave you -1 to begin with, but since you rated only in retaliation, I've upped it to -3. I have no interest in getting anyone banned, unless of course, they seem to be seeking to get me banned, by fallaciously claiming things like cyber-bullying (which entails threat or intimidation...which have not objectively occurred...no matter how you may subjectively feel).

I have no power here. My rating ultimately only mean as much as the admin deems fit. You elevating me to such a level is the only thing that lends me any real power over you.
