10 Effective Ways To Stop Hiccups Instantly
http://www.lifehack.org/384570/10-effect...-instantly

EXCERPT: We all know how annoying hiccups can be. They always seem to come at the most inconvenient times and overstay their welcome, but there are some easy ways to get rid of hiccups once you understand what causes them. Hiccups are involuntary contractions of the diaphragm, occurring at the same time as a contraction in the larynx and blocking air intake. This can be caused by a number of things including sudden excitement or stress and overeating or eating too quickly. There are many different techniques used to stop hiccups and some of them are more effective than others, but here are some of the best ways to end hiccups in any situation....

10 Ideas You Must Give Up to Get Paid to Do What You Love

EXCERPT: You can do what you love. You know that, don’t you? This is not about whether or not it’s possible, but about what’s stopping you from moving forward. You are built to do what you love, and to thrive doing it.But you’ve picked up habits that work against you. In order to make progress, you have to let them go. Here are ten that I’ve noticed in my life, and in the lives of the people I’ve helped....

Re: Hiccup Cures

For the most part hiccups can be caused by irregularities in food (like not being fully chewed) or even an allergic response (Like gluten intolerance).
I have a way to get rid of most, however it's not quite the same as any of the ones mentioned (although it touches on a couple of them).

It requires breathing in air one breath at a time, and compressing those breaths together (You hold you breaths without exhaling)  Doing so causes you to pump your diaphragm up while also aiding in straightening out and pressurising any tracts that are otherwise causing irritation.

An optional step that I don't use any more is to actually swallow each breath, this can of course lead to belching.
