Similar to the Marfa Lights, where a temperature inversion similar to Fata Morgana cause a mirage and can also explain changes in temperature felt on the ground.
This guy thinks he can talk to them. LOL!

No..not with discrete and bright orbs that are clearly moving around relative to the trees and then disappearing. Fata Morgana always appears just above the horizon and involves a static image of a structure or a city or a landmass, not lights that independently move up and down. I've already roundly debunked your lack of comprehension on Fata Morgana, which can include moving light sources.
Fata Morgana can absolutely include moving light sources.
...the likeliest explanation is that the lights are a sort of mirage caused by sharp temperature gradients between cold and warm layers of air.[11] Marfa is at an elevation of 4,688 ft (1,429 m) above sea level, and differences of 40–50 °F (22–28 °C) between daily high and low temperatures are quite common. But still... that moron thinks he can talk to distance lights. LOL!!!!

They're not shimmering or dancing around like mirages in hot air. They're steadily moving higher into the sky, shining brightly as ONE orb not two headlights. And of course once again, FM doesn't occur that high in the sky. It only occurs close to the horizon.
" Fata Morgana appears in a very narrow band right above the horizon, typically hovering just a fraction of a degree to a few degrees above the true or visible horizon. • Height Above Horizon: It is not a high-altitude phenomenon; it stays low to the ground or water surface, appearing within a shallow, compressed band immediately above the horizon." ![]()

You can keep denying reality with cherry-picked pictures all you like.
It doesn't change the reality of what a mirage is physically doing. I've already shown you examples with moving lights or high in the sky. Not my problem if your memory is shit.

Here's some more colored orbs captured by Peter zig-zagging around quickly and with stars in the background.

Yes, Fata Morgana-type mirages would appear in front of clouds and can move erratically, as already explained above.

Not quickly zig-zagging around high in the sky with stars in the background. Once again you've been roundly refuted.
Two orbs caught by summoner Chris Bledsoe with stars and even a plane in the background. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEE86WtA80M

The resulting image can appear to float, jump, or zip across the sky at unrealistic speeds. Literacy is amazing!
Min Min Lights and Ghost Lights: Famous nocturnal anomalies like Australia's Min Min lights or Texas's Marfa lights are often attributed to Fata Morgana mirages. These lights are widely reported to float, split, bounce, and zig-zag across the horizon as their light rays interact with changing ground-level thermal ducts. |
