Owen Jones has apologised after getting piled on for using AI in one poster. The revolution eats itself…
The aged author was publicising a talk on his latest agitprop book titled “The Fall of the West.” He initially justified his use of AI on social media:
“Because I can’t do graphic design and it’s not my video producer’s job to do graphics for my book tour.”
After a pile-on instigated by the leftist Instagram account The Left Bible, Jones apologised in the comments:
“I am very sorry to have used an AI generated image for an upcoming event at the Manchester Literary Festival. It’s not an event I’m organising, and I was just trying to notify people in a colourful way. I’ve deleted the image and replaced it with a screenshot. I won’t use AI generated images like this again and I am sorry for any upset that has been caused.”
Guido, for one, commends Jones for using frontier technology to increase productivity and reduce labour time. Can’t keep the luddites happy though…
