PREVIOUS INSTALLMENT: Prepping shifts from right-wing to mainstream in Europe

UPDATE: Germany faced a second sabotage attempt on its electricity grid, with local police saying on Wednesday they are investigating an attack on a ‌substation near the western city of Bergheim. [...] Germany’s electricity grid has been hit by attacks before, including by suspected left-wing militants.

VIDEO EXCERPTS: In Germany, yesterday there was at least one detonation at a German power plant. Another terror alert in Germany. This time a substation near a lignite-fired power plant in Brandenburg is the focus. According to reports, unconventional explosives and incendiary devices were discovered, and a detonation occurred. Also, other explosive devices were discovered early Tuesday morning, but not all of them exploded.

Apparently the perpetrators have used some weapons like homemade rockets, which they have shot onto the power plant, and they apparently attached some conductive material to those rockets in the hopes that the rockets catch a cable and create a short. So, that's actually a pretty sophisticated plan to sabotage this plant. And here they are saying, according to the grid operator, several power lines were damaged. The company reported a brief outage. However, by early afternoon all lines were back online, and the general power supply was not affected.

This was not the first attack on the infrastructure of Germany. And this is probably also why Germany wants its citizens to be prepared. So, this is something I've already shown you last time, and this is a prepping guide by the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, and it's a full prepping guide, which is teaching you not only how to heat your home and how to cook without any electricity, but it's also telling you how you can protect yourselves against explosions.

In explosions, shock waves, flying debris, and glass splinters pose a big danger. The same is true for air strikes. Okay, so air strikes are now a new topic in prepping guides. When I was following any prepping guides, usually they were only talking about food, shelter, and water. Not about air strikes. So that's something new. Here they're saying, however, most buildings in Germany are solidly built.

[...] According to a media report, Volkswagen's board of directors has decided to close four Volkswagen plants in Germany. Volkswagen employees have been demanding clear answers for weeks, and now they should finally get some. The existing business models and structures are no longer sufficient. So because of the increased energy prices and also because of the government's regulations, CO2 taxes, and requirements about how many electric cars a car company has to manufacture, the company cannot make any profits anymore. So this is why the company has to save money.

But don't worry, pretty soon they will go into another business and use factories for something else. And here they are saying that they will use factories for the arms industry...

Copper thieves are upping their game with explosions, either deliberate or unintentional, with the bonus of having some other group blamed for it.

The "Vulkangruppe" claimed responsibility for the attack back in January. There was no angry response from the organization when authorities accepted it as genuine. The recent two attempts failed to do produce anything significant to warrant crowing about the deeds in that manner.

Two Attacks On German Power Grid Spark Sabotage Investigation

EXCERPT: No confirmed information has emerged yet on who carried out either attack. In several sabotage cases over the past two years, however, security agencies have pointed to left-wing extremists, partly because letters of responsibility believed to be authentic surfaced afterward. That includes January’s blackout in southwestern Berlin, claimed by a self-described left-wing extremist network calling itself the “Vulkangruppe”, which cited opposition to capitalism as its motive.

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency, the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz, has said that violence-oriented left-wing extremists view attacks on critical infrastructure as strikes against a “repressive state” focused on protecting capitalist profit interests and consolidating its own power. The agency has identified energy, information technology and telecommunications, transport, and government administration as the sectors most likely to be targeted by vandalism and arson.

Investigators say they have found no evidence so far linking either recent attack to Russian hybrid warfare, though that possibility remains one of three scenarios under consideration, alongside left-extremist sabotage and a Russian-directed operation designed to look like left-extremist action.

The Red Army Faction received funding from East Germany back in the heyday of its violent terrorism. So even in this era there could be a financial link to Russia, since the latter is still an enemy of the West despite no longer being a socialist state. So the great evil (the West) remains the same target for both interests despite altered political systems since those days. Russia might still operate through the services of existing left-wing groups in the country since right-wing nationalists are accordingly German or Western chauvinists (potentially reluctant to do anything detrimental to the population in general). And Putin's whole MO with Ukraine is that the Ukraine is an infestation of Neo-Nazis. Still using the anti-fascist playbook of the Soviet days, so again the left-wing rebels would be the tools in Germany.
