The legacy media is complicit in America's assassination vibes
https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-legac...tion-vibes

INTRO: For the ninety seconds when members of the media were diving under tables at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, watching as politicians and cabinet members were yanked from the room by security, you have to wonder how many had the honest thought: "Did we do this?"

The repeated media normalization of assassination fantasies on the American left hasn't been a quiet trend. A decade after Kathy Griffin posed with Donald Trump's severed head, their attitude is the same as Steve Schmidt's in the immediate aftermath of this latest attempt: to the extent anyone is to blame for repeated attempts at Trump's assassination, it's the man himself, and then maybe his supporters for having the audacity to elect Orange Hitler twice.

Remember the Rutgers study that found more than half of Left-of-center respondents said it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Donald Trump? When the radical Left describes such a vast portion of the Democratic electorate on the question "Should the president be unalived?", believe them.

The legacy media has declared who they want dead. They continue to platform the Left's voices who urge his death. They rely on the violent Left's bark being worse than their bite -- even as those who bay for blood continually show their eagerness for the exact outcome that motivates the president's would-be murderers.

Hasan Piker's call to murder capitalists and drench the streets with their blood gets the New York Times and Conde Nast imprimatur... (MORE - details)

While I can't comment on peoples use of satire to freely express their point of view.

Trumps camp originally term was secured with social manipulation through such things as Cambridge Anayltica. From there, the evolution of manipulation continued not just throughout his first term, but through the period he didn't win the election as well the more recent "stint" that he poses as a president.
During this time there has been more advances into the evolution of the depths of manipulation used, such as how Trumps camp weilds Fear as a Machiavellian tool(*).

In this particular type of manipulation Trump attacked Biden, Democrats, the left, the legacy media and a myriad of other social groups with the penality of going against him having harsh consequences. This leads to those people and groups being forced into a "Fight or Flight" response.

Manipulating a "Flight" response means that people will try to avoid confrontation with him and reduce in any forms of escalation, that allows him to push deals down peoples throats that they otherwise might not have taken.

If they choose a "Fight" response however, he'll use it as a way to show that his opposition is dangerous and bad and further undermine others into that "Flight and Fight" state.

What Trumps camp doesn't take into consideration however is the numbers. The more he pushes towards "Fight", the greater the number of those willing to "Fight", he probably feels it matters little considering he currently has the US and it's Military like his own personal fixers and bodyguards.

In essence, Trump is his own threat in the long run.

His informal, herky-jerky strategy got him the two tenures. So past the midterms he might not care what wreckage he leaves behind. But the possibility of continued influence on the GOP after POTUS and the prolonged threat of being prosecuted by the Dems surely deters that. Granting that he can stave off senility and its reckless disregard or unawareness of extended consequences.

The cronyism of the Trump administration is its most damaging legacy -- the choosing of people who are loyal versus those who are most competent. Not that one can't have both, but having both requires a much larger pool to draw from than the one Trump has alienated down in size over the years. (Jared Isaacman might have passed the litmus test for both, albeit he stemmed from Musk's wider circle rather than Trump's.)

Favoritism is arguably necessary if the goal is achieving a high degree of dominance for a short period (as well as garnering extra votes from someone like JFK Jr's followers). But beyond that, cronyism (confined to a shrinking reservoir) becomes a tumble into national decline and skills degradation. What's key is it not becoming a persistent and native feature of the Republican Party after Trump leaves.
