Actually, the crowd may have gathered due to misperception that the preacher was saying something inflammatory. Just as police defer to the 1.9 million Jews living in the New York City metropolitan area, it's hardly unique for police in London to similarly be accommodating the one and half million Muslims in London. If you want political clout and positive discrimination, concentrate in a particular area -- don't water yourself down with nation-wide distribution.
