If you have to ask what's wrong with what he said, you're likely racist too.

Quote:Yes, he just literally admitted that he's stupid and insulted their intelligence in telling them that [he is like them], which takes a special kind of gift. But they'll still vote for him. That's why California is in shambles. You want that on the federal level as President of the United States? Please, dear God, don't let it. Since the "racist faux pas" actually has no effect on Black and other Democrat voters, the key thing is his admitting that he is dumb. That might enable other Dem candidates to get the edge on him in the primaries, if they use it. A "dumb Democrat" (DD) arguably means something different from a "dumb Republican" (DR). The contemporary DR caricature is usually still regarded as having common sense and pragmatic knowledge with respect to everyday life -- including being able to run a small business or farm/ranch, build and repair things, etc. It's the area of scholarly knowledge (literary intellectualism, science, etc) where the DR is deemed and portrayed as ignorant. Whereas a DD caricature is depicted as adept at referencing academic affairs and elite ideological matters (regardless of deep understanding of them), but lacks experience and savvy outside that insulated domain (akin to Bernie Sanders being a pitiful carpenter when he tried that occupation decades ago). Ergo, the tendency to purely reside in the illusion of how _X_ theories and policies are supposed to ideally work out on paper... Versus their actual results at the everyday level (remaining oblivious to the latter in California).

I think there's more intelligence Black voters who do recognize the obvious insult there. The crux may be that the Democrat party no longer seems to benefit the black community... other than the welfare trap. They may have been more willing to ignore such insults while they thought Dems actually cared about them more than illegal aliens, transgenders, etc..
Newscum could read a 260 some page book in 1 1/2-2 hours... talking to white people..., but can't read a teleprompter when talking to black people: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VAcHwDFR9d4

Wouldn't have thought Nicki Minaj would have become so based.
Nicki Minaj Yeah, if you watch his interview with white folks and this performance for a black audience, it is like he's talking to children in the latter. Very insulting.

I used to think that Newsom was going to be the most potent democratic presidential candidate in 2028. He's slick, can speak well, and is a political chameleon skilled at playing a moderate when he needs to. And at least he used to be movie-star handsome.
But now I'm less sure. His record in California isn't going to be something that he can run on. If affordability is going to be a big issue, coming from the least affordable state in the country isn't going to help. If fraud and corruption are going to be issues, he will need to explain how billions meant to fight homelessness in LA just disappeared while homelessness grew. He will have to explain the multibillion dollar high speed rail line to nowhere. The amount of covid, unemployment and medicaid fraud in California is legendary. (All that money goes into somebody's pockets.) California's public schools have gone from some of the best in the US in the 20th century to some of the worst in the 21st. Poverty is worst in the United States when you adjust for cost of living. Businesses are fleeing. I'm sure he can make excuses for all that, but making excuses isn't a good look in a presidential candidate. When it comes to social issues he's on record as being all for illegal aliens, the trans-weirdness and every imaginable variety of wokeness. He can't run away from the democrats' crazy issues without angering his party's activist base. But he can't win a general election unless he does. Even his looks are fading with age and his mannerisms have become annoying liabilities, such as how he wiggles and waves his hands like a queer. Right now, I think that if the Republicans run Vance, Rubio or even DeSantis, Newsom will be in very deep trouble.

If Democrats were smart, they'd try to run John Fetterman... the only Democrat with a legit moderate record. But I'm betting any Democrat will be a hard sell under an increasingly booming economy.
