Great if this can really happen. OTOH, if there really has been a shadow govt guarding these secrets for so long, a mere presidential order isn't going to make much of a difference.
Can't be a shadow government if Obama saw the files... as he hinted at on a recent podcast. But much like the Epstein files and congressional hearings on UFOs in recent years, I'm betting it doesn't amount to much... except for the true believers, whose faith doesn't really require any evidence.

The very support among believers for the release of UAP-related files indicates that they DO require evidence, at least to prove to non-believers once and for all.

Wrong. Nobody in their right mind would believe in uaps if there was no evidence for them. The fact that there are and continue to be thousands of accounts, photos, and videos of them from all over the world and from our own US military proves their beliefs are entirely evidence-based.
They do all the time. Going on and on about how beyond our technology they are (which literally means alien... or have they found an actual terrestrial source for the claims?).

Nope..we have consistent testimony across the board of uaps defying the laws of physics in their structure and flight behavior. Speed and instantaneous change of direction and no source of propulsion. There is simply no terrestrial explanation for such a phenomenon. We've been over this before. Remember the 5 observables of uaps?
