Trump attempts to deflect attention over Epstein files

Noam Chomsky and Lawrence Krauss are in there. Even Robert Kuhn and Deepak Chopra. Lisa Randall at least once. Not surprising -- he hobnobbed with scientists and intellectuals, too. Occasionally there are redactions.

Various celebrities of different fields of work continued to associate with Epstein after his first 2008 conviction. Below, Epstein granted permission to invite Johnny Depp, but that doesn't mean the latter accepted or knew Epstein. (As mentioned, Depp has his own island.)

When I was with him yesterday I told him we were going to caribbean and he asked where.. He has an island in bahamas, making you two the only people I know who own islands.. will ask him if he is free then. He is remarkable in new movie, though the film itself is not fantastic.. he is also a pretty good guitarist.. his show with alice cooper and joe perry in la was great.

Apparently Epstein at one point suggested he worked in Intelligence. Whether that was his own gathering through the people he interacted with or if it was with actual intelligence services is something that isn't currently mentioned. It would however imply that if he indeed worked with the intelligence community, the "evidence" that he would of had on Trump would of likely have come through that route (in other words he would of been in reach of the evidence but not necessarily held it), which is why such evidence isn't contained within the Emails.

Considering Trump is the acting President of the US, it means that if the intelligence was US based, he would of had a handle on it.

The FBI and other agencies presumedly shot whatever wad they had on Trump during his first term and Biden's, in the course of various investigations and scandals they successively wanted to pin on him back then. As pundits have repeatedly brought up, that was the optimum time to use any kryptonite on Trump. Not wait until he's maximally situated in the Fortress of Solitude.

Landon Thomas Jr was really chummy and supportive of Epstein in the emails between the two ("Go on Charlie Rose and tell people how you've changed.") Epstein offered him all kinds of dirt on Trump, but it was stuff that had already been "out there" for years.

Epstein actually got the "Jeffrey likes them young!" type Trump quotes from a magazine article dating back to the early 2000s. He sabotaged his claim that Trump "knew about the girls" by telling Landon Thomas that he himself didn't know that the girls were underage. ("They looked older, I even asked them to tell me their ages, just to be sure.") If he believed they were not underage, then why would any other passive observer assume otherwise? That a philanthropic magnate would be a criminal predator in disguise -- worse than a mere Hugh Hefner playboy -- especially long before he was convicted in 2008? (And again, there's that horde of celebrities and other public figures that refused to believe it even afterward.)

Epstein asserted that Trump visited the island, but didn't receive a massage. There's one anecdote about Trump running nose-first into a glass door, he's so preoccupied with seeing the women surrounding Epstein. But 65% of the men on the planet could likewise either do the same or issue some facetious or crass comments, upon being startled by such a scene.

In another email, Epstein more or less claims that one of the victims was lying about Bill Clinton having visited the island (that Clinton only flew several times on Epstein's plane and mingled with him elsewhere). Either confirming that Epstein was indeed no friend of the victims (even after the fact, his being exposed) or indicating that witness testimony can be intermittently unreliable.

In a 2015 email exchange with now-former New York Times reporter Landon Thomas Jr., Epstein referred to claims about Clinton’s presence on the island by a victim whose name has been redacted as having been made up, including “specifically minute details of a dinner had on the island with him.”

“Clinton was NEVER EVER there, never,” Epstein wrote.

In a January 2015 email to Wolff, Epstein said he had a former girlfriend who could corroborate that Clinton was never there — and could also refute claims that former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak had been on the island.

That would make sense however if Trump had managed to flip whoever had the intelligence, it could of done a disappearing act unless such services had a drop box cache method of duplicating data so it couldn't be tampered with. We'll likely never know however due to the nature of intelligence.
