VIDEO EXCERPT: First of all, I came across a very concerning article about how digital ID is progressing in Great Britain. Here they're saying that by the end of this year the government in Britain is planning that people have to use digital IDs to be able to buy alcohol in pubs. Without digital identity, you will not be able to buy alcohol in pubs anymore.
Next, also in Britain, food products will have a carbon score on the packaging. In this photo, you can see a couple of sandwiches in a package, with the carbon score. Eating this uses 8.1% of your daily dietary carbon allowance.
So you are allowed to eat this food. But what if you reach 100% and you're still hungry? Maybe you're a hard worker, you need more food. What if you exceed the 100%? What happens then? Are you not allowed to eat more? Are they going to starve people, or do you have to pay a fine?
I have to say this is very concerning to me, very dystopian.
So now in Austria, I think 43% have already downloaded the Digital Identity Austria app, ad we will see more pressure from the government as it rises. They will say that if you don't have a digital identity, you cannot purchase food, or maybe you cannot purchase alcohol.
And even if you have cash, cash is not the solution, anymore, because they can still deny the purchase by saying, "Okay, you can't buy this product because you have exceeded 100% of your daily carbon allowance, daily dietary carbon allowance, and therefore we deny you another purchase no matter if you pay with cash."
