"A never-before-seen video released Tuesday by a member of Congress appears to show a U.S. military Hellfire missile bouncing off a bright, shiny object that was being tracked off the coast of Yemen on Oct. 30, 2024.

The video was released at a House Government Oversight subcommittee hearing into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), which is the military's term for UFOs.

During the hearing Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) played a video that he said "I've been given" and that he claimed was taken by an MQ-9 Reaper drone.

The overhead video showed a fast-moving object moving in a straight line above the waves in the waters off the coast of Yemen and captured what Burlison said was a Hellfire missile fired by another Reaper drone that appeared to strike the object."

"I'm not going to explain it to you, you'll see exactly what it does," said Burlison as the video clip was played."

If it was an impact detonating variant (there are many) of Hellfire missile, the non-detonating strike would imply something too light or flimsy to trigger its impact sensor.

I'd say it was likely plastic which allowed for deformation. The debris that seems to fly off is likely bits of propeller from one of the drones props that was hit. It's possible that the missile didn't directly collide with the drone but hit the prop/propshaft. I'd assume it was an octocopter type drone so it would of been able to maintain speed/direction (It would of attempted to re-balance its remaining props to continue.

The footage itself I'd assume the camera to be to be laser guided which means they would of had a distance of the object from the observer which would allow for a rough size to be identified. The laser is also likely responsible for the missile being able to target it, as it's possible that if it was made from plastic and the like it wouldn't of been a large enough footprint for other guidance methods.

The reason it appears to "glow" is due to the footage being a negative, that was likely done to make it easier to target it with the laser otherwise it would of just been a dark object moving which would of been more difficult to track.

It's likely use was probably hunting for ship targets, but as an observation platform rather than a weapons platform since it didn't turn into a firework display.

Any "drone" hit by a missile would definitely go down. This UAP was unphased and kept flying at the same speed unhindered. It was also described as a sphere, which jibes with all the other sphere sightings reported by the AARO.

Light, flimsy material in a sphere shape?
Sounds like something familiar.

LOL A balloon flying horizontally at a fast speed? No..balloons go up. Refer to the laws of physics. Plus I doubt our military wastes million dollar missiles on popping balloons.

On February 4, the U.S. Air Force shot down the balloon over U.S. territorial waters off the coast of South Carolina.
...
The balloon was shot down over U.S. territorial waters off the coast of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, by an AIM-9X Sidewinder missile fired from a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor that had departed from Langley Air Force Base;

We all know you don't understand basic physics, as you've proven many times. In this case, there's no way to tell if the motion is that of the camera or the object.

We know all about them shooting Chinese surveillance balloons. Those were shot down, as in bullets, not struck with missiles.
