No moron. The shadow is clearly on the moon. Planes do not cast tiny shadows on telescope lenses.

There are no shadows on the lens as the object seen against the moon is steadily casting its shadow there. The proximity of the shadow to the uap means it is just above the moon's surface and not in outer space.
