Quote:So this is about your belief in white guilt.

That's such a thoughtless cliche. Let's call it white sensitivity. As in being kind and not excluding others based on one's privileged racial status. That's not something I expect Trumpers to get. But that's just the way it is in our color-conscious society.

On the first page of this thread, I said, "white folks are naturally more inclusive of other races and cultures in their own celebrations."
That's why things like Oktoberfest and St. Patrick's Day are not perceived as exclusively white.

Minorities are actually much more likely to exclude others based one their race, as we've seem with countless racially segregated safe spaces, parties, and programs.

Those are celebrations of occasions not the white race. You can probably find some white race celebrations in the South if you really want to attend one. I bet they're not very welcoming to blacks.

It's a natural concession to minorities in our society to let them have their own festivals and parades. It's the least we can do for having oppressed and marginalized them in the past. Only a racist wouldn't understand this. In any case, it's not like you're banned from such festivals. If you went to one I'm sure they'd welcome you with open arms.

I don't know about you, but I've never oppressed or marginalized anyone.
I don't believe in generational guilt.

So you want to identify with your white race, but just not the history of their racism against blacks. How convenient.

So blacks what to identify with their race, but just not the history of blacks selling their own into slavery. How convenient.
