The Laser DMT "source code of reality" effect

I've never tried this but I have seen what look like characters and letters in my experimentations with seeing with my eyes closed in the dark. In this case the letters and geometrical glyphs of some code are being seen by people all over the world by shining a refracted 650 nm red laser on a flat surface like a wall or a door while on a low dose of DMT. (see artist's version below) The code appears remarkably as if "there" and behind the surface, staying the same as the laser light is moved over the surface. The astounding implication is that maybe this is the source code of the simulation we all live in. Here's the guy that discovered this and his discerning insights into what it might all mean. Really thought provoking if you can momentarily put aside your assumptions about what is real:

Might be related to form constants. I first encountered mention of those years ago when reading Richard E. Cytowic's book "The Man Who Tasted Shapes". There are many more different kinds of such patterns on page 123 of his book than the few that the Wikipedia article provides.

"A form constant is one of several geometric patterns which are recurringly observed during hypnagogia, hallucinations and altered states of consciousness. "

LSD can produce a similar subjective effect. I experienced it myself multiple times in my youth.

My own hypothesis is that these psychedelic drugs might stimuate feature detectors in the visual cortex. So the visual field is experienced as filled with a seething mass of edges, curves, corners and impossible shapes in vivid colors, all without being organized into coherent forms that might constitute identifiable things.

Not unlike looking through a kaleidoscope: The famous Psychedelic Patterns.

Strangely, I could still perceive my surroundings, the room around me, except with all this extraneous content overlaying everything. Which has led me to speculate that perhaps the Patterns are always there, noise in the nervous system one might say, except that the background static is normally filtered out of conscious experience. And perhaps psychedelics disable the filter. That's my hypothesis.

One very striking result of that in my own experience was the intense sensation that everything I looked at was covered in incomprehensible writing inscribed in incandescent light.

And I most definitely had the feeling that if I could just somehow read and understand it, that it was the Secret of the Universe! Perhaps today one could call it the "source code" of reality...

But (unsurprisingly) I never could read it... so I could never receive the revelation... if such it was...

Some of the most striking geometric and colorful shapes I've seen are bright yellow and concentric polygon phosphenes that emerge when I rub my eyes. Clearly the retina and visual cortex have a tendency to "geometrify" induced neural impulses. But the thing with this code is it doesn't move with your eyes or head or even the laser. That sort of object permanence, something I look for when I see lights and shadows, suggests objective realness. Or at least as objectively "there" as any pattern seen thru visual pareidolia. In any case I will never try any DMT or other hallucinogenic because of my mental issues likely inducing a bad trip. I don't need any machine elves running around my probably already haunted apt.
