When I saw the title, I thought of this. http://m.phys.org/news/2015-11-smaller-a...rvive.html. Some insects have lots more hair on their bodies than there is on a human head.

Some crustaceans apparently want in on the hirsute act. In amphibian, reptile, and fish country there's respectively the hairy frog, the hairy bush viper, and the hairy frogfish. But their anatomical features aren't real hair.

I frequently catch sight of dark matter hairballs flying across my room in bed at night. They appear to have no problem going thru the ceiling or the walls.
