And if alternatively, and speculatively, they were giving her drugs East German style, then that still slots close enough to "male-ing up a female" that it would offend militant Muslim sensibilities.

All those LGBT+ participants supporting Hamas Palestinians on campuses months ago didn't alter the Islamic world; it just means that a certain faction of the regressive left really is naïve or shockingly overprotected from reality with respect to some things and regions of the world.

If you’re just some guy permitted by an authority to play games with females then no crime if rules include beating them up. I think the male Muslim boxers know exactly what they’re doing in this case….its a win for them either way.

Who would look for a genetic anomaly?

I guess the most charitable assumption is a real woman pumped full of testosterone. But only a slightly less charitable one is that everyone legitimately thought Khelif was a woman, and never though to check the chromosomes... although supposedly the International Boxing Association found some reason to ban the Algerian and Taiwanese boxers.

Articles impugning the IBA for simply having Russian ties sound a bit like a genetic fallacy (no pun intended), unless someone has definite evidence otherwise... like verifying the boxer is genetically female.
Personally, I have no reason to trust the IOC any more than the IBA.
