No source cited, no mention of it covering since Trump sent the NG, and no actual numbers.
Repeating that crime way already down tells us nothing.

Quote:no mention of it covering since Trump sent the NG, Yes it did. It said crime went down in 24 and 25. That covers last month. Quote:Repeating that crime way already down tells us nothing Yes it does. It tells us that it was going down due to things other than Trump posting the National Guard on street corners.

Quote:You do know that crime can go down some and then go down more, right? @_@ You mean it started going up and instead went down again because of Trump? Nonsense. No evidence of causation at all.

Did you see the word "up" anywhere in that post? @_@ No, you're just delusional and imagining things that don't exist. Crime can be going down and then suddenly go down faster. The only thing that changed... NG deployment. If that wasn't the cause, why did the city's previous strategies suddenly work better when the NG were present? Pretty strong evidence of causation, especially with the Democrat mayor crediting the NG.

Quote:Crime can be going down and then suddenly go down faster. The only thing that changed... NG deployment. Crime didn't suddenly go down faster last month. It went down the same rate as before. Hence Trump has no effect. Occam's razor applies. What was driving crime down kept driving it down.

No, it jumped from a decrease of 20% over the previous year to 49% since deploying the NG. You can rail against the fact all you like. Doesn't change it.

You can't extrapolate an overall crime drop from just a two week period. That's why they are spread out over months, showing the overall trend that levels out the weekly rise and falls. That's basic statistics..
"Reporting [of crime] always lags so some of that decline is likely artificial. You probably need six weeks or so for incident-based reporting to catch up and make a comparison of the most recent period." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czxpzkylg3vo
