Appropriating someone's sex is no different from appropriating someone's race. White people dressing as black celebrities/characters they admire has been rounding condemned by the left. No mockery involved. According to them, blackface is blackface, regardless of the intent. Same rules apply to sex... well, if you have any moral consistency, which we know you don't.

Proclaiming victory in an argument often stems from a psychological need to protect one's ego, establish dominance, or signal loyalty to a tribal group rather than to establish objective truth. Declaring "I won" provides a quick dopamine hit and helps resolve the cognitive discomfort that comes from having your core beliefs challenged.

Yeah, it is the scary part about any form of DS -- that those afflicted with such abandon even survival-based reasoning for the easy principle of just automatically choosing the opposite of whatever their bogyman supports. Formally, it might be categorized as "contrarianism" (albeit not necessarily going against a majority).

For instance, back in the 1950s it might be MDS, where McCarthy would be the booger and accordingly (in unchecked response to his monomania) one would reject the idea of communist spies altogether (despite what the Verona project revealed) or welcome them with open arms or even became a socialist.

If there was a dominant individual in the past who embodied the anti-smoking movement but was intensely demonized by half the country, that particular DS would result in existing users doubling or tripling their current intake of cigarette chemicals, and non-smokers taking up the habit, as well as both heavily encouraging youth to pursue smoking.

Similar if environmentalism had a DS personification in its earliest days. Resulting in its psychological sufferers allowing the local industrial plants of old to continue massively polluting the neighboring rivers, imbue the surrounding landscapes of communities with cancer-causing chemicals, etc. Possibly even commencing practices on one's own property to ensure that it was deeply infested with health-degrading attributes.
