The original instrumental (played by Django) is here: https://youtu.be/6UCEA_ls89M

INTRO: This is "Django's Tiger", a great composition by the legendary Django Reinhardt, now with an exciting twist! Marion decided to write a song text for this tune, which was originally just an instrumental. Her lyrics tell the story of Django's tiger, who takes his guitar to the French jazz clubs while his owner (Django Reinhardt) is on tour in the USA. Enjoy this story and our performance and let the music transport you to the world of French jazz!

Yeah... 7 minutes. But it builds in force, subtleties, and mixed techniques as it goes along.

INTRO: At 7 minutes long, this original tune for modern fingerstyle guitar showcases Mike's writing and performance through an incredibly dynamic piece about hope and a cautious future. This song is for anyone struggling with anxiety about what that future means to them.

Unfortunately, most of the old live recordings of Leo Kotke when he was young, that people have put online, are pretty poor audio quality. And those with perhaps better sound are where he has aged after problems with his fingers and hearing, and he's arguably lost some quality of technique.

So one is left with the albums themselves.

The tracks of the first called "6 And 12 String Guitar" (1969) can be played here (it's a classic that instantly won him fame): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...LcLXbSZnpL

The one below is his 4th, from 1972, apparently recorded straight from the vinyl (light needle crackling). Those earlier albums are where he is still playing guitar alone. Whereas later in the 1970s, the studio productions begin adding back-up instruments.
