This was a relatively unprecedented incursion. For years, Palestinians have only fired rockets, that the Iron Dome readily handled, dug tunnels to sneak in for suicide bombers, etc.. I couldn't tell you the last time a force of any size crossed into Israel. So there was reason to expect that, even near the border, it was relatively safe...in comparison to rocket launches that could reach much further.

And you shouldn't try to equivocate about "human shields" between a relatively safe area and literal terrorists hiding in hospitals and school to shield themselves from retaliation. These "both sides" arguments are effectively anti-Semitic.

You can't "force" people to attack innocent civilians. "Armed Islamic nutters" couldn't turn up at that pop festival until AFTER they had already invaded.

Israel is surrounded on al sides by countries that seek their genocide. So pretending that any one border is any more dangerous than another is a bit of a stretch. Hell, there were missiles recently fired from Yemeni Houthis, which doesn't even border on Israel. Pretending that Israelis somehow "should have know better" than to live in their own country is ignorant as fuck.

I can't help it if you think Israeli tactics are anti-Semitic.

A brief summary of American tactics (anti-American?). You claim land and build a fence round it. Anyone tries to take that land from you kill them and (best outcome) take their land. Originally you'd just kill people and take their land but this is now frowned on.

So... you need people to try to take your land so you can kill them and take their land. Would you want people to try to take your land at a time and place convenient for them or would you want to choose a time and place that is convenient for you?

If that's honestly what you took from what I said, you're just a moron.

That's anti-Semitic victim blaming. I'd say you should be ashamed, but I know you have none.

The reality is that Israel would be happy to live in peace, but every time they are attacked, with genocidal motivation, they have to secure as much of a safety buffer zone as possible. They don't incite anything beyond just being Jews living there.
