VIDEO INTRO: "Diary of a Madman" is the title track from Ozzy Osbourne's 2nd studio album, released in 1981. It's the last album to feature the guitar playing of Randy Rhoads, who tragically died the following year in a plane crash at age 25. One of the great heavy metal guitarists of all time, he was also classically trained, and the intro section was inspired from a Leo Brouwer composition, Study No. 6. Randy's playing and writing has always been an inspiration to me, so I'm very pleased to be able to pay homage to him.

The lyrics from Bob Daisley are also really outstanding, and it’s important to mention because he often doesn’t get the credit he deserves when it comes to those first two Ozzy albums. His lyrics were a big part of both, and they’re truly great.
