To be honest, I wasn't even aware that the social justice issue is primarily what scholars were concerned about when it came to ET visitors. But OTOH, similar to the Church being preoccupied with sin and salvation, what else would Western academia be obsessed with these days?
"Should space aliens be granted civil rights and entitlements? Should Kang and Kodos receive social security benefits if they never paid into the system? During an angry exchange between two parties, is calling Crawk Tul a giant bedbug a hate crime?"
