The percussive forearm "thump" in the vid below (simulating a drum beat) is not necessarily "deeper" than usual, as much just the result of purely whacking that part of the soundboard (lack of contrast). Compare to the Sean Hall performance in next post where he also taps tighter parts of the soundboard with higher register.
