When you don’t have to worry about survival, you are able to think on a deeper level, sometimes manufacturing problems.

I still don't think that's "deeper," except insofar as they are resorting to making problems with themselves, internally. People only create problems when they have a lack of existing problems, like survival, external goals, etc.. Believe it or not, humans need problems. They can either have problems by trying to accomplish challenging goals, or they fabricate internal problems...which is basically just an unhealthy game they play with themselves.

Yep, this is what I meant. The sooner we can accept or 'make peace' with the fact that we all need problems, that we'll always ''have'' problems to some degree, and that solving problems gives us a sense of well being and purpose, the better off we'll be. It's a good feeling to solve a problem that at first, overwhelmed you.

Many people often make excuses as to why they can't achieve this or that, but our ancestors who struggled for survival, didn't have the time to make excuses. It might have been a harsher lifestyle, worrying about when you'd eat next, and where to find shelter against the wild life, but in some ways, it seems like life was simpler. They didn't have the luxury to say, ''I don't want to deal with this.''

Yeah, healthy people just call their problems goals. Frame it as a positive, instead of a negative they have to make excuses about.

Quote:Regarding your dreams, if you’re open minded to the idea of ghosts and other paranormal activity, maybe it’s not that much of a stretch to find demons a possibility? Dreams can often tell us things.

Yeah, I suppose if I dug deep enough I'd turn up some sort of belief in evil spirits or demons. Spirits, even malicious ones, are a natural corollary of a magical worldview of infinite possibilities.
