Just to prove I wasn't out of my mind I tried it again and wouldn't you know, it flushed again. All I did was take the top off the reservoir, lifted up on the bar from the handle just enough to let water from the tank pass by the flapper, simulating a warped or damaged flapper.  Took all of 30 seconds each time for it to flush by itself. Maybe no two toilets are alike with respect to flushing, I don't know but I'm convinced mine does.

If I were a believer in ghosts then I would be more worried why a ghost would choose a toilet to get attention. If it can flush a toilet then why can't it leave a handwritten note?

Right. You lifted the bar to make it flush. That's not self-flushing. A ghost will turn lights on, mess with electronics, turn on faucets, and close doors because it is basically bored out of its wits. Doesn't speak well for the afterlife imo.

Seriously MR? How is it that you can accept the existence of a ghost more than a natural explanation for things that go bump in the night? Is it because some people are good writers? I'm mystified, it's not just you but an entire segment of society that would rather believe in the unseen/unproven/unexplainable than have someone else tell you it isn't what you think.

I mean I'm totally prepared for a time when someone proves all this paranormal stuff is really happening. I'll change my mind in a heartbeat but I guess as long as there's even the most remote chance of paranormal thoughts, visions, and other seemingly unexplainable mysteries being true then it's never going to change. Your schtick here is guaranteed Wink . Turn it into a money maker, there's enough takers out there.

You're obviously exasperated. Go lie down for awhile and think about pleasant things. Breathe!

See! You're good at this crap. Deflection is a skill not a lot of people have or recognize. There's gold here, some people are on the internet cashing in on this stuff. For all intents I hope this forum is just a temporary diversion from the cash register for you. You can speak the language, you have the whole package, now get out there and capitalize on it.....if you're not already doing so. Shy

Sounds like a desperate ad hom to me. Like I'm somehow making money off the belief in the paranormal? Just breathe!

Haha! Ya sure. Wink  Love it when you pretend your guard is up.

I have a take on why soccer players fake injury on the field. It's called the trickle down effect. When there's fraud at the top of an organization, it inevitably flows to the bottom. Now it doesn't necessarily have to be fraud or an organization, you can substitute anything in there.

You are a well established paranormal enthusiast, at least here. You promote it and protect it. The only thing I don't see you doing is taking it to that higher level where you control it. But I will say you have the tools to really make something of your passion, so why not? It's being wasted here, more detractors than conformists, although you need to deal with both if you want to pursue the higher level.

I know you'd love it if I moved on. But I'm not goin anywhere. I was here long before you dropped in and will probably be here long after you leave. One might even call me the King of the Weird and Beyond Forum. Get used to it.

Oh come on! How hard would it be to do both?

You mean a guy who is a plumber all day can't offer opinions about plumbing on an internet forum during his off hours? Time to broaden your enthusiasm, expand your audience and become a star. Take it to the limit.

You're projecting on me your own motives for financial profit. I'm not interested in that and in fact think it undermines the credibility of this field of research. But then most paranormal investigators don't charge for their services either. So it's all good.

Quote:The cost to conduct a paranormal investigation is $10/person per hour, in addition to a non-refundable.
deposit of $200.

Wyoming Frontier Prison Paranormal Investigations
It will cost to have a prison investigated in Wyoming. Prisons must be a good place for ghosts I guess.
Investigator sites range from free to donations to an hourly rate with or without deposit.

"Paranormal investigators do not get paid. paranormal investigation is a hobby and a very expensive one at that. The only way they make any money at it is to write books, give lectures at ghost workshops, start a club and charge their members a yearly fee to be members, and sell videos of their investigations. Not very many are successful at this."---
