An asylum seeker from Sudan attempted to decapitate Stephen Ogilvie, a man in his 40s, with a kitchen knife on 8 June 2026 at 10:30 pm. [According to a witness, that's actually circa the time when police finally arrived. Activity transpired before then.] A number of people confronted the suspect until police arrived; one man fought the suspect with a hurley. Ogilvie survived and was hospitalised in serious condition with major injuries to his eyes, face and back. Police said the attack was not being treated as terrorism, but the investigation was at an early stage. [...] On 10 June, the suspect, Hadi Alodid, appeared in court in Belfast via video link from Musgrave Serious Crime Suite. The court was told that the victim had lost his left eye as a result of the attack. Alodid was remanded in custody.

Rioters are burning suspected migrant homes.

VIDEO INTRO: I mean what on earth is going on in our country? Two very disturbing incidents. Firstly, in a school in Manchester, two students and a staff member been stabbed at Greater Manchester, saying a girl arrested at the scene. Injuries sustained by two students and a staff member consistent with stab wounds.

And then we've seen in Belfast this absolutely horrific attack what appears to be an apparent attempted beheading in Belfast. People appealing for calm but at the same time wanting answers as to what on earth is going on...

You can't import barbarians and expect them to assimilate to Western civilization or values. Especially if they maintain enclaves from their home country within yours.

The UK press is saying very little about this, but talk on the internet is that the victim didn't just have his throat cut, he also had both of his eyes stabbed out. Unclear at this point whether that's true.

People in Belfast are NOT HAPPY. Both Protestants and Catholics have come together on this one. There are reports of civilian roadblocks on many roads. Gangs of thuggish black-clad youths are attacking hotels and other public housing occupied by migrants at public expense and several of these locations have been set on fire.

Migrants shouldn't have fucked with Belfast. It's a very hard place with a long history of paramilitary confrontations not only with the police but with the army. When it comes to street fighting, they know what they are doing. Something that brings the IRA together with the Protestant paramilitaries is probably the establishment's worst nightmare.

And it isn't just Belfast, though that's where most of the violence has been so far. There are reports of demonstrations in at least 70 British cities.

Well, barbarians only understand one language.

Whatever happens with these demonstrations (they may quiet down in a day or so) we can be sure that Starmer and his people (including woke police leadership) will try to blame everything on "far right extremists" sowing social division. The government won't take any responsibility for policies (which to be fair are equally the Conservative party's work) that have brought Britain closer and closer to the social breaking point.

And equally expect a big political surge for those "far right extremists", not only for Nigel Farage's Reform Party (who seem to want to close Britain's borders to additional informal immigration, but allow migrants already in the UK to stay), but perhaps even more to the unapologetically militant Restore Party (which takes a 'Britain for the British people' line and aims to deport all informal migrants).

EXCERPTS: Bystanders can be heard telling the attacker to “get off” the victim, who appears to be covered in blood, before a man with a hurley stick repeatedly strikes the suspect in an attempt to free the injured man.

[...] “It was near 25 past 10 before the police came,” the resident said. “That was going on from 10 o’clock. All I saw was the fella on top. Originally, it looked like the guy on the bottom wasn’t moving, the guy on top of him was covered in blood, licking his lips."

The resident: "One police car came and then a TSG group came a couple of minutes later, but he didn’t get off him. There were four policemen then on top of the (attacker). They had him restrained. Then they had to get him a spit guard because he was biting the officers. It took four cops to hold him down.”

The eyewitness added that after being freed and treated by emergency services, the victim of the attack was able to stand despite suffering severe injuries to his eyes, face and back.

“The fella that was stabbed, he then stood up and walked across and shouted: ‘I can’t see’,” the eyewitness said. “The police then took him off the kerb and put him against the wall. The first thing they went for was his neck. He was still in the back of the ambulance after they arrived for another 15 minutes before rushing him to hospital.”

Things are reportedly quiet in Belfast right now, but that isn't expected to last. Schools are closed, public transit isn't running and a curfew has been declared. Many businesses are closed.

Meanwhile, the political establishment and its media establishment are behaving as one might expect. At Prime Minister's Questions in Parliament, Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch made a brief passing comment about the horrific attack in Belfast and then immediately moved on to wishing the speaker a happy birthday and talking about the world cup.

Absolutely no acknowledgement that their own open-borders policies have brought the United Kingdom very close to the tipping point. Nothing about how they plan to address it, apart from more of the same, while politicians and the media blame "the far right" for exploiting social divisions. But nothing about how they themselves created the social divisions in the first place.

A British mother whose daughter was stabbed to death by another Sudanese migrant in 2024 wrote this on X:

"People will only take so much before they stop accepting the same response of condemnation and no change. A silent protest produces nothing when the government has already decided to look away. The escalation in Belfast is not a malfunction. It is what happens when every measured, peaceful expression of anger is met with lectures about unacceptable behavior and no policy change."
