Forum slow?

Is it just me, or is the forum intermittently slow?

I've clear site data from my browser, but that didn't help.

I think there was a network-wide issue and unfortunately it affected traffic to the site. (The site itself wasn't overloaded) Seems to have settled for now.

Hmm. Finally experiencing some of that today.

Really? It seems to have improved shortly after Stryder's comment. I haven't seen it acting up again.

I'm having to click any link on the forum two or three times to get past this message:

Error 500 - Internal server error

An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later.

Seems to have abated.

Error 500 much worse today. Hard to do much on the forum.

I checked the server logs, there are no 500 errors reported (only 503s) 503s tend to occur when the site gets overloaded by bots if they aren't triggering a 429 message.
The site tends to have two levels to 503s, one that I control and one my provider does, theres tends to cut in front sometimes.

If you are using a proxy or VPN to access the site, it's likely an error with the proxy/VPN you use.

On a conspiracy front, there could be the concern in the future of AI injecting error messages during DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) to stop people accessing content. It would be rather sly for a government to do it since nobody would necessarily know it was being done.

Didn't get "Error __" yesterday, but had an incident today.

I tried to post a while ago about the Space Station medical emergency and got a whole series of 500 errors. But it seems that my post went up anyway, which is good.

The board seems to have recovered and is working well now.
