As you've probably noticed the colour coordination isn't that particular great, I'll make no excuses... I'm not much an artist and I wear odd socks.
Currently the only thing I've considered trying to do is keeping the overall forum darker than white or light grey, but not too dark, which is why we end up with these off-colours. There's a mixture of reasons for this, one being that lighter schemes can be too bright for the eyes if viewed for too long, they can cost more in energy and any widgets that get put on here in the future that require having white in the foreground are difficult to spot. (More about them at the appropriate times)
In any event if you've dabbled in MyBB or just have a colour chart that would make this place look nice, drop a copy here and I'll see if I can setup a skin for it.
