That’s the point of these Scriptures, Syne. God is sovereign over all governments and he will use Biden for good, as well. That’s not my opinion, it’s Biblical.

No, women are self-admittedly more susceptible to appeals to emotion (and plenty of studies). They don't deny that. Now, if you're try to tell them otherwise, it's you who is the sexist, thinking they need you to speak for them. Quit mansplaining.

No, you're shirking your own responsibility to be a good steward by pushing it all off on god. God can use broken people for good, but without good people doing what is right, evil prevails. Like in Nazi Germany, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc., millions of people needlessly suffer and die when people make excuses about what god will do for them.

You're cherry-picking the Bible to justify your own behavior. That is your opinion.

No ^^ sorry, that’s false.

This isn’t a competition.

I find it oddly interesting that you think Republicans are above reproach. Before you reply with that you don’t think that, you basically imply that if someone isn’t a card carrying Republican, they’re morally inferior to all others.

If you want to believe this, that’s your choice but don’t conflate that with Bible truths.

You're the one viciously stereotyping women as overemotional and irrational. That's a misogynist prejudice that goes back many centuries. You should teleport yourself back to those days. You'd feel right at home there.

In other news, why do you guys think that federal funding for our space programs will be diminished or halted? If Democrats respect science, why would they do that?

No, it's not. Too bad you don't understand the difference.

Again, like your claim of a savior, no one ever said Republicans were above reproach. And I never conflated any political party with Biblical truths. You just keep making up thing that no one has argued. There's a huge difference between being the only reliable group for good (like saving babies) and being beyond criticism. Tell me, how many pro-life Democrats are in Congress? Go ahead, I'll wait.

History.

After eight years in power, Republicans in the House of Representatives will soon hand over the gavel to Democrats. When the new Congress convenes in January, the chamber will contain dozens fewer Republicans—and fewer Republican supporters of space exploration.
...
“A lot of those [programs] may be up for reexamination now that you have a Democratic-controlled House that can run its own committees and pursue its own interests and inquiries and investigations,” Dreier said.

Stereotypes exist for a reason. They are good heuristics that are borne out by study averages. There's nothing vicious about accepting the fact that women are, in general, more emotional than men. Sane people call that common knowledge. But you probably believe some anti-science gender studies nonsense.

But you’re assuming I didn’t vote for Trump due to emotion. The problem isn’t that women may or may not be more emotional than men, it’s that you think you’re better than women because of a stereotype. That you make choices because you’re so smart, moral and logical and emotional decisions are made by women. Your comment was to offend.

Anyway, this has been fun and I appreciate some of the info you posted. I don’t know everything, so it’s useful. Remember ...we are all works in progress.

When you think about it, the argument against abortion is pretty much an appeal to emotion. Strange that for republicans that one issue should be the sole deciding factor for voting for a president.

You certainly didn't vote against Trump for good Christian values or being informed (as you've already admitted you didn't know about Kamala's equity video during the campaign nor Biden wanting to repeal the Hyde amendment, and that's likely the tip of the iceberg).

Again, I never said I was better than anyone. You're making up stuff again. And any given man could happen to be just as susceptible to appeals to emotion as any given woman. Just ask MR. Everyone has to be wary of their own cognitive biases, whether they are more prone to emotional arguments or something else. Satan uses your own bias against you. Now, if you fail prey to your own cognitive bias more than me, then yes, in that respect, I've done better.

IOW, until you can manage to give a smart, moral, and logical argument for your choice, what else is there?

People who are actually working on themselves don't feel the need to make excuses.

No, good people are just generally against murder.
