Poltergeist activity in English pub

Check this out. This is from a haunted pub in Canterbury, Kent, and is a montage of poltergeist activity from CCTV cameras over a two month period. This is pretty obvious shit. No vibrations or drafts here. Either it's real or a hoax. Compare the video to the eyewitness account of the pub cleaner. If this is real this is some of the best poltergeist footage yet.

Nothing moving toward obstructions would indicate a simple fishing line prank. They should have at least moved both swinging doors, as if a person were actually walking through them. Rolleyes

You can buy automatic patio umbrella openers, set them to a time of day to open/close or you can also get them with wind sensors to do same.

Naw..no evidence of fishing line or self-opening umbrellas. This is an old pub. They're not gonna have self-opening patio umbrellas. The pub cleaner's comments confirm the phenomena. One of the tell tale signs of a haunting is footsteps where noone is. That's what they reported, among other things like the swinging door and lights turning on and "self-opening" cupboards. lol

Here's another video of this activity with sound including a high tech "self-throwing" pillow.

Pillow footage could be reverse of what actually occurred, who knows? Too many ways to doctor photographic images, so many that no footage attempting to prove ghosts exist can be trusted....just my humble opinion

And what evidence would you expect of something that's not meant to be see? O_o

Zin is absolutely right about the pillow footage being reversed. You can watch in slow-mo and see the tassels start moving before the pillow moves, which is exactly what happens when a thrown pillow comes to rest and the secondary motion of the tassels takes longer to settle.

And umbrellas are under spring tension, where if not fully latched, could easily open on their own.

One has to wonder if people who buy this crap understand how anything works in the real world.

Lack of evidence for something is not evidence of that thing.

Except that the pillow lifts up vertically first, hovers for a microsecond in midair, and then flies forward. If it were thrown it would just land on the couch from the force of the throw. Or it would be against the couch and then slide down into place, an unlikely event in itself. There would also be some bounce from the force of the throw. The tassels move just as if the pillow were being picked up and thrown. There is no reverse footage here.

Also notice the swinging door opening again. Behind the door there is only a wall. There is no way a fishing line could be pulling on it to open it.

And no..there is no spring mechanism on older umbrellas that makes them open by themselves. That's bullshit. I've opened them before. You have to exert alot of force to raise the tube to extend the umbrella outward.

Like the lack of evidence for ghosts existing?  Rolleyes
And the ready evidence at any sporting goods store for fishing line existing?

The pillow obviously hits the back of the couch and then falls to the seat. It's not rocket science, and nothing at all unlikely about it.

You do know that there are sites to reverse video online, right? https://www.kapwing.com/videos/5be224556a8f8a00132d9c86
And again, you offer zero explanation why EVERYTHING about the pillow video is reversed, including the motion of the tassels.
No, if you watch it slow-mo, the tassels clearly start moving before the pillow does. But attentional blindness is a powerful thing.  Rolleyes

There is no wall that precludes a fishing line being run around the back of the counter the swinging door is attached to. You do know that fishing line bends, right? O_o

The umbrella wouldn't even need to be under spring tension. This one (that looks exactly the same) would have it's cranks well below the framing of that video:

"Raise the tube"? What, do you think the umbrella must be original to the pub? Rolleyes

MR.... Felt somewhat sympathetic for you with that Baja UFO highway lighting video. You kind of struck out swinging there. I figure you might be trying to regain some pride with this thread. However it's not as convincing as you think it is unfortunately. Is it better than mistaken highway lights? ....by all means. But I think this audience, one you're used to dealing with by now, is asking for something truly grand.

It's truly grand when you have to make up shit about invisible fishing lines, self-opening umbrellas, and reverse CCTV video. lol
