Democracy fails because we hold a completely false idea of ourselves as intelligent creatures. We have the capability of being intelligent but until recently we did not have enough understanding of how our brains work to manifest the thinking population that a democracy requires. The Trump phenomena screams what is so wrong with our false idea of ourselves as intelligent creatures and why we must change that false idea of ourselves, and false ideas of what is a good leader.
Here are a couple of explanations of how we think and do not think, why we need to pay attention to our animals brains that are not exactly the result of a God making humans different from all other animals.

Only a problem for more purer democracies (as opposed to a democratic republic) and people who think elites can socially engineer a populace.
Trump is the direct result of Democrats calling people like Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan racist, misogynist, etc.. So Republicans were convinced, over many years, that they needed a strong man who would shamelessly fight back against such epithets. Democrats calling every Republican evil devalued the accusation to such a point that someone with serious character flaws became completely immune to them.

Maybe you should reconsider.

I instead did put an "a" in so_p, not a "u". Seem to have a processing delay that makes a pre-readiness effect belated in me. I'm not sure even a whole minute later "food" would have started registering with me yet. "Headquarters, this is Traffic Patrol. We've still got that three-party wreck on Neural Lane 45 at Node vx-0021, creating an information bottleneck. Expect a continued slowdown on and near the vicinity of the RK789-circuit for the next two hours."

Yeah, same here. Why, though, C C?
The word SOUP is more frequently used. Double that of SOAP. Maybe it’s because the letter A is more frequently used than U.
BTW, Amy’s minestrone soup is really good. It’s better than any restaurant or homemade soup that I’ve ever had.

Where did I say "liberals"? Nowhere. Learn to read.
Apparently unlike you, I do not assume the group of Democrats who called Romney racist corresponds, one for one, with the group of liberals, as many old school liberals are still more classical liberals than identitarian polemic leftists. But your assumption tells us which group you identify with.

Nahh...you're not talking about liberals. You're talking about Democrats. lol!

If you really equate name-calling Democrats with liberals or Democrats in general, that's on you. And once again affirms who you identify with.
That's the only reason you can't fathom anyone differentiating the two.

I tend to even go through alphabetic order when it comes to mentally browsing for words that rhyme with another one. Seldom eat soup these days, so that's one memory bias which I might have in terms of "_X_ not being habitually ready at hand for selecting".

If I really was looking online at the correct ingredients / nutrition label, it's got 290mg of sodium, which would qualify for making the rest of the household happy flavor-wise. (I kind of have my own parallel, taste-challenged diet transpiring in parallel with the gustatory preferences of normal human beings here.)
