The worst part is that playing "world policeman" again could mean getting involved in regional conflicts where there are zero US interests and no international stability concerns at all (perhaps even no local genocides to hamper). Merely justice posturing to satisfy the leaders of _X_ activist movements, population groups, or big-business donors to a POTUS campaign ("purchase our equipment and goods" for the military operations, etc). But more importantly to place holy radiances and halos of virtue around Party members for righteously intervening in the state affairs and disputes of the Abono Republic.
