Biden's senility in office

Biden Revives Claim He Was ‘Shot At’ in Speech to Diplomats

President Joe Biden on Thursday repeated a claim to a gathering of State Department employees that he once came under fire abroad.

“You have great personal courage. I’ve been with some of you when we’ve been shot at,” Biden told staff, without detailing the incident in question.

It’s unclear what specific incident Biden was referring to in his remarks, but in the past he has faced scrutiny for similar comments. Biden previously made the claim at a Democratic presidential primary debate in July 2007. “Number one, you take all the troops out,” he said. “You better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at. You better make sure you have protection for them, or let them die.”

He later clarified those remarks to say he was inside a building in Iraq’s Green Zone with a contingent of visiting senators that “rattled” as a result from a blast in 2005, and suggested the “shot” that had been fired was akin to mortar fire. “I was near where a shot landed,” he said. “No one got up and ran from the room — it wasn’t that kind of thing. It’s not like I had someone holding a gun to my head.”
...
Biden isn’t the first elected official to make an eyebrow-raising claim of facing enemy fire abroad. Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton famously faced years of ridicule — particularly during her first presidential campaign in 2008 — for claiming that she landed “under sniper fire” during a 1996 trip to Bosnia. Her compatriots on the trip, including Sheryl Crow and actor Sinbad, claimed the incident never took place.

Apparently he forgot that he already faced criticism over those lies.

Biden revises claim he was ‘shot at’ in Iraq

Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.) — whose garrulous ways have led to a number of verbal gaffes over the years — has revised a dramatic comment that he was “shot at” in the Green Zone during a trip to Iraq.
...
“Let’s start telling the truth,” he said. “Number one, you take all the troops out — you better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at. You better make sure you have protection for them, or let them die, number one.”
...
Patrick Campbell, legislative director for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, said Biden should be careful about how he describes his experiences, especially when making political points.

“Veterans don’t like it when people mischaracterize their service, people who overstate what happens to them,” he said. “We
have names for them.”

Campbell also said the word “shot at” implies that “someone with an AK-47 pops up and is taking shots at you.” He thought Biden was more likely referring to mortars or rockets that insurgents periodically launch into the Green Zone but are more random in nature, as his aides later described.

I don’t think it’s possible to ridicule a senile old timer. I think people are realizing what they’ve elected here. You wouldn’t walk into a senior’s/retirement home and laugh at the guy who thinks he’s Jesus Christ. It’s actually a sad situation. For news people, they have to report but they might not feel good about it.

No, Biden's family and handlers have intentionally set him up to be ridiculed...for their own ulterior motives. And the left ridiculed Trump for four years, while asserting he suffered from mental illness. You don't go into a therapist's office and laugh at people either. But the leftists are the ones who set this standard, and I have no problem with giving as good as it's given. Biden's family and handlers are ultimately to blame for using a senile old man to push their politics, and no public figure is beyond ridicule.

The ridicule actually helps expose how cruel it is to use someone like that as a public figurehead. Without exposing that (and many leftists still don't see it, just ask MR), you're basically condoning it.

What I meant was...Ridicule won’t  do any harm to Biden personally, he’ll forget it before day is over.

Ah, yeah, that makes sense. It's like all the people who get offended about the word "retard" when the actually retarded don't know it's supposed to be offensive.

Shorter version of this one:

Is the first part of video the most recent? I thought he was slurring somewhat compared to the rest of video. Wonder if he’s had a minor stroke.
