Who is Your Favorite Political Pundit?

Usually don’t pay much attention to politics but with all the bickering that goes on here I decided to take a closer look at what’s out there on YouTube. There’s a few guys, don’t see a lot of women, who are making the university circuit and political arenas.

I like Shapiro only because he’s so goddam smart and he talks fast. Great memory and spouts facts, at least I think he might. Maybe in front of students & faculty or congress, one doesn’t have to be so intelligent. Sad commentary on American education system and government.....sorry in a very Canadian way Big Grin

Shapiro's probably my favorite, although I don't tend to agree 100% with anyone. Shapiro can often drone on a bit too long on a subject, but that may be my familiarity with the subject and I can always skip ahead. If you prefer a fence sitter with many leftist policies, Tim Pool can be good. If you want some entertainment with your punditry, Steven Crowder (Louder with Crowder) is fun. Honorable mentions for Candace Owens (black conservative) and Dave Rubin (married gay libertarian).

Yeah he can go on and on sometimes but I think his mind is racing so fast that it just has to come out. I don't necessarily agree with everything Shapiro says but I'm totally impressed with his intelligence. He's been caught a few times too, but even Bobby Fisher lost the odd time. By watching him talk to students and govt it reaffirmed my thinking that most college kids aren't on the dean's list and many elected officials don't have two brain cells to rub together. He must be intimidating and a challenge to some

I'm not going to post a link to it but you just have to watch his False News take on CNN. The 5 things CNN does that makes their news fake. It's 15 minutes long and for one of those minutes he does a commercial for sponsor. Never saw him do that before, thought it was kind of strange but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. If you haven't seen the vid then look it up.

His daily show has several sponsored ads too, easy to skip through. Just what it takes to be able to pay staff and keep doing what he does. After all, CNN and the like have whole commercial breaks, not just one read ad every so often.

I love it when they pan the pundit audience from the front. Not hard to tell who potential troublemakers are. They're the individual or group no one else sits near Smile . At least it prepares you for some fireworks, pretty obvious others in audience are giving them a wide berth so must have been some forewarning.   One thing I'm not impressed with is some of the students asking questions..... college entrance requirements must be next to zero or they're not learning anything. A good pundit won't embarrass the questioner but will take bits and pieces of what they're saying and turn it into something we can understand.

Reports have shown that students at Harvard leave knowing less than they did when they started.

Students at many of the country's most prestigious colleges and universities are graduating with less knowledge of American history, government, and economics than they had as incoming freshmen, with Harvard University seniors scoring a "D+" average on a 60-question multiple-choice exam about civic literacy.

So even if they have high entry standards, they are so busy feeding the students bullshit that they leave worse off, and poorer, than when they came in.

And Democrats here want to make the taxpayers pay off their student loans. 9_9

Yeah, that's one thing that I noticed about Michael Sandel. He's great at that.

Not really in the category of MSM “pundits,” but just started listening to Coleman Hughes and Glenn Loury. Hughes is kind of dry but his opinions we simply won’t hear on mainstream media.

Not a fan of the Fox network, but I like Jesse Watters and Dana Perino, too. I’m currently checking out some Libertarians on YouTube to expand my horizons.

There aren’t many leftist pundits that resonate with me, because they seem too afraid to speak against the radical views of their party. This isn’t to say that leftist ideals don’t resonate with me but many (the outspoken ones) appear to be on the socialist band wagon right now which seems like a destructive path for the middle class of America, imo.

Agree with you on that one Wegs. Maybe they can't afford to argue and get schooled. Must be good money in the university lecture circuit.
