Love on the Spectrum

Amazingly, not sure I've ever watched a British-based reality show. (Oh, wait -- I remember a couple of PBS imports back in the 2000s where these UK families had to live retro-style like Londoners did in 1900 and during WWII, respectively. Take that, exposure to toxic mold -- you haven't completely annihilated my recall capacity yet.)

Daters who place on the autism spectrum, eh? Perhaps I could personally half-relate to that if could retrieve anything from back then (oh, drat -- one victory and it's back to a Swiss cheese mind again).

There's supposed to be a lot more males charting in that territory than females, but apparently they tracked down enough gender counterparts to spoil expectations for an all-gay courtship extravaganza. Freaking privileged heterosexual audience garners the additional legwork from a production crew, again.

Thanks for the pointer, SS. Nice thing is that this won't end on a cliffhanger, regardless of whether homicidal Netflix brings down its crazy axe or not. (Bye, bye Altered Carbon -- sorry I never even got to sample you to see whether you worth a distracted hour or not. Darn sure not going to do it now to see what mess you ended on before becoming a severed corpse.)

When I read the name, considering where we are nowadays, I assumed it was about the gender spectrum.

This seems equal parts sweet and extreme cringe. So while I appreciate them trying to find love for the hopeless and that definitely beats any gender spectrum crap, I don't like cringe nor supposed reality TV.

There’s one guy on there that really stands out. His name is Michael. He’s a hoot. I kept think that his voice and inflections were familiar and then it came to me. He sounds exactly like Don Adams as Maxwell Smart. I looked up an old clip, showed it to my husband, and then in the very next scene Michael mentioned that show, "Get Smart". I’m guessing that some of his personality traits come from T.V. shows. He’s something else. Average men could take a few tips from him.

Well, there's actually a girl that decides that she feels more comfortable dating women.

I think you’ll like, C C.
