Talk about making it political:

LOL! The left already made it political months ago...when Trump mentioned it. But then...leftists never do realize their own hypocrisy.

That was at his political rally on Feb 28th where Trump said the virus was a hoax democrats were using to get to him. Poor wittle victim. Always so mistreated. That was the moment he made it into something political.

I have a theory on quinine in relationship to the difference between Covid and Malaria. Malaria is parasitic based, where as Covid is a virus. Quinine likely effect the parasites reproduction rate thus allowing the body to overcome it, it would have to directly work on a persons own infected cells if it was to work on Covid.

That's why at least in theory it would not cure Covid, I wouldn't even suggest that it would actually aid in battling covid at all, but as I've mentioned before it's good mixed with Gin. (Perhaps Trumps a closet Drunk)

Oh, you mean when there were only 15 cases and zero deaths? While Democrats were falsely claiming that Trump had cut funding to the NIH and CDC. https://apnews.com/d36d6c4de29f4d04beda3db00cb46104
That clearly was a hoax, and Trump had previously acknowledged that the virus itself was a very real threat, even asking Congress for emergency funds to deal with it, on February 25. https://www.voanews.com/science-health/c...s-response

Trump didn't mention chloroquine until March 19, after many doctors had already touted it in the news. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/...loroquine/

So it seems you've been repeatedly duped by lying journalists. Well, people who believe in aliens and ghosts...9_9

Why do researchers think chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine may prevent coronavirus infections?

Both are antimalarial drugs that also have well-known antiviral activity against many viruses, including SARS and MERS. At least they work against those viruses in lab dishes.

In lab tests, hydroxychloroquine can also stop SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, from infecting cells and decreases replication of viruses that do get inside cells, researchers report March 18 in Cell Reports. A February 4 report in Cell Research found that chloroquine also inhibits the virus.

The drugs are thought to block viruses from entering cells by changing the pH, or acidity, of cellular compartments called lysosomes. That “creates a less friendly environment for the virus, so it might be more difficult for the virus to get into human cells in the first place,” says Michael Avidan, an anesthesiologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Avidan is involved in a clinical trial testing whether chloroquine can protect healthcare workers from infection or from developing serious disease.

The Mayo Clinic has changed their hydroxychloroquine page to read: "Hydroxychloroquine may also be used to treat coronavirus (covid 19) in certain hospitalized patients."

It wasn't that long ago that any physician saying that would be "cancelled" as a quack and would be in danger of losing his/her medical license.

It seems like everything that they tried to force us to believe (including by censoring the media to remove what they called "disinformation") has turned out to be wrong, in some cases honest mistakes, in other cases flat-out lies. We've since learned:

Hydroxychloroquine can indeed be useful in treating covid cases. Masks are of little or no benefit in protecting one's self or in reducing disease spread. The disease may indeed have been a Chinese lab-leak. Vaccination does not protect people from becoming ill. Vaccination does not make it impossible to pass the disease on to others. Most covid infections are so mild that people don't even know they've been infected and have antibodies. Children are at almost zero risk of dying of covid. The social/economic harm caused by lockdowns and school closures far outweighed any public health benefit, and declaring an "emergency" and then using it to justify suspending civil liberties was a huge step towards authoritarian dictatorship.

Sometimes it appears that everything they told us was bullshit.

And people wonder why trust among the general public is at all time lows.

Democrats are abject liars or completely incompetent morons.
