It's a spray-paint blotch on the surface of Callisto, probably kilometers wide. Pure artless vandalism as opposed to even an attempt at illicit graffiti. These particular space alien tourists left no impression of possessing connoisseurship or fine taste.

Is it the bottom/floor or top/ceiling or side/wall of either an object or a room-like area that is enclosed?

Its an object that coud be said to have a bottom... top... an sides... but its usualy thout of as havin a inside an a outside... an ther are 2 equal areas that are always open... 1 from which i took the pic.!!!
