There's nothing beneficial in blaming people for the circumstances they are born into. It's burdening them with responsibility that isn't theirs to bear. It was bullshit in the old days and it's bullshit now. Only a hateful psychopath would want to believe such a thing of people.

You obviously have no clue, and are projecting your own hatred. It's not about blaming others for their circumstances. It's about having the best possible outlook towards your own....knowing that you ultimately have the power to change them and that there's something to learned from any experience.

I don't blame people for the circumstances of their birth and raising. I also don't assign them any obligation to change their conditions and become who I think they should be. What happiness they manage to pursue in life is totally up to them and is their free right. If that somehow makes me clueless so be it., At least I'm not propagating a hateful disempowering lie just to feel morally superior to others.

See, you had to leave this out...

...so you could continue to justify your hatred.

I JUST said it was about people having the best outlook toward their own circumstances, NOT what anyone else thinks they should be doing. Maybe once you stop seeing red you'll be able to read what is actually written. There is nothing disempowering about knowing you have the ability to change your own circumstances.

You're the one assigning them an obligation to change their conditions. I said I don't do that. If they want to adapt to their condition, that is fine too. It's all up to them to change or not change, as long as they are happy. I don't project my own moral ideals on them with some kind of stupid blame game like you do. Noone is responsible for the conditions they are born and raised in. Everyone is to be honored as a tenacious survivor of the random chaotic shit they happen to be born into. It's nobody's right to judge anyone.

And I already said: "Even just in this life, our attitude determines our circumstances. That attitude is well within our ability to alter, even if we don't remember how we came to feel the way we do. "

You're the only one judging anyone here. Quit projecting and then bitching about it.

Our attitude has nothing to do with the circumstances we were born into and raised in. These are just the brute givens of life, beyond our power to control. Nobody is responsible for that. It just is. And it comes to determine everything we are and become in life.

And that's your belief. A belief that you are at the mercy of your circumstances, instead of the master of them. That is disempowering.

It's reality. And acceptance of reality is liberating because there is no blame and no need to have "power" or control over it.

Your attitude determines your reality. So if accepting being at the mercy of your circumstances is "liberating", it's only because it doesn't require anything of you. You can just continue to use your circumstances as an excuse for why you don't do better. You just have the same mediocre life as the effort you put into it.
