Andrew Yang proposes 'giant space mirrors' to tackle climate change
https://www.foxnews.com/science/andrew-y...ate-change

EXCERPT: Presidential candidate Andrew Yang's climate plan aims to get the U.S. to net-zero carbon emissions with a range of new initiatives -- including investing in major geoengineering projects like giant mirrors in space. [...] Yang has proposed using a wide range of tools to ramp up renewable energy, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, establish new standards on emissions for buildings, cars and the entire electric grid, and boost nuclear energy capacity. However, his 20-year, $4.87 trillion climate plan ... would [also] provide $800 million ... to research geoengineering, which includes investigating "giant foldable space mirrors" as an emergency measure of last resort. Andrew Yang predicts he will double campaign cash haul in third quarter
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/yang-to...rd-quarter

EXCERPT: Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang says he believes he will double his campaign cash haul when he reports his fundraising figures for the third quarter of this year, contending that his White House bid "is catching.” “We are going to raise more than twice as much money in the third quarter than we did in the second quarter, at a time when many other campaigns are starting to shrink,” Yang told Fox News.

The tech entrepreneur from New York, once viewed by many observers as the longest of long-shot hopefuls seeking the Democratic nomination, was interviewed after unveiling his climate change plan during a campaign swing in New Hampshire. That state famously holds the first presidential primary in the race for the White House. [...] Yang – a first-time candidate who had no name recognition when he launched his White House bid early last year -- has seen his campaign soar in recent months, thanks in part to the popularity of his push for a $1,000-per-month universal income for all adult Americans, which he calls a "Freedom Dividend." INTRO: Presidential candidate Andrew Yang on Tuesday fired back at Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) after the senator criticized him for his proposal to use a universal basic income to tackle automation. "Bernie ignores the facts that money in our hands would 1) create hundreds of thousands of local jobs and 2) recognize and reward the nurturing work being done in our homes and communities every day," the entrepreneur tweeted. "He also assumes that everyone wants to work for the government which isn’t true."

Yang's remarks came in response to a Hill.TV interview where Sanders told "Rising" host Krystal Ball that a federal jobs guarantee is preferable to guaranteeing income. (MORE)
