EXCERPT: This is scaring so many people and is running in so many online news outlets, but has no scientific credibility. It's written by a couple of businessmen, with a foreword by a retired admiral, and no scientific peer review. If you wish to get an idea of the worst possible future in store for us, I recommend the IPCC’s example worst case climate change scenario.

[...] I was glad to see that at least some of the most highly regarded news sites didn't run this, such as the NY Times, Washington Post, The Times, The Guardian, BBC News, Nature, or the Smithsonian magazine. I was very disappointed to see CNN, Independent and several others running it without explaining its dubious credentials - they clearly have no automatic system in place to vet science stories to check for scientific credibility.

[...] When they read this sort of thing, vulnerable people are paralysed with panic. It does no-one any service to stand by while this nonsense is presented as "climate science". If they had used reliable sources and summarized them properly it would be useful climate change debate. They used reliable sources that they hugely misunderstood, presenting those mistakes as the "truth" to other people who are not scientifically educated enough to check the sources. They also used unreliable sources like David Wallace Wells and propagated his mistakes. This is not useful in the Climate change discussion. It rather confuses people and makes vulnerable people scared and paralysed with fear, and often to the extent that they need drugs and long term therapy to cope with the resulting severe anxiety disorders (I spend hours a day most days doing my best to help such people)... (MORE - details)

Nickolai Pötzsch: "The psychoneurotic ruminants of this generation are distinguished by many pied markings. Where once the doomsaying wolf needed religion and Revelation to profit, or the vintage realness of the Bomb, now humanist demon-icons and science hammered into grandly alien spomeniks of apocalyptic myth serve to brew anxiety in these motley herds."

"vulnerable people", i.e. leftist morons, who believe whatever they're told without the emotional regulation to control their oversensitive (underdeveloped) amygdalae or intellectual discipline/honesty to fact check things for themselves. And only a fellow leftist moron could even try to claim otherwise.
