Bingo! It's his petty bitching and whining about trivial points that derails these threads and ends up being about him getting something right or wrong over and over again. I assume it's because he doesn't have much goin on in his life that such petty squabbles should repeatedly need to happen so often. These are the little ego-boosting victories he needs so much to respect himself.

As for the last part... there is no way your methodology is going to help "sharpen your thinking" or "provide a challenge".
How exactly, for example, does going on for days about whether you read Peterson or watch videos of Peterson "sharpen your thinking"?

You don't address arguments, you merely sidetrack entire threads or twist up what other posters have said. Neither of these things is going to sharpen your thinking at all. You're lying about your motives, but of course its difficult to say whether its to yourself, or to me. The image I'm getting of you is De Niro practising his lines in the mirror in "Taxi Driver".

I'd advise a different approach... which would require you stop lying to yourself about your motives, of course.
Your choice as to whether or not you take that advice.
By all means, ignore me. I have no idea why you think I should care about how you feel I'm coming across, especially when you keep engaging, which belies all your whinging.
Again, it's only your attentional bias/persecution complex that leads you believe anyone has gone on "for days" or "pages" about your choice of words. And apparently that same attentional bias will censor that fact from this post just like it did in my last. Rolleyes God forbid you be intellectually honest and support your claim. That would run far too high a risk of exposing your fragile self-narrative.
You don't seem to make many arguments. But by all means, point out any I've missed...and be ready to support them for once. O_o
Right now you are hypocritically engaging in the exact same sidetracking you're carrying on about.
And you're projecting your own lying/self-deception on me. When few here can offer substantially supported arguments, I simply take the challenge as one of rhetoric. You seem happy to tell yourself you're bored of me...but for some reason keep engaging. Huh

You're getting to be as bad as Carol was. Shaking your finger instead of just using the ignore function.

No one person knows it all, Syne. The know-it-alls don’t need to be here. They can stand alone. We’re losing members. Tone it down, please?
It's always funny when people tell me this. I've never claimed nor thought I know it all, but it seems to be an admission on the part of others.
No, I will not "tone it down". For one, I know damn well you will not reciprocate...at least not for long. As soon as I say something you don't like, you'll be right back to trolling personal attacks. Everyone gets from me what they dish out. Don't like it? Change your own behavior...instead of seeking to control others.

There’s a certain amount of empathy involved in perspective taking and that is one of Ben’s strengths. That’s what makes him so useful. He’s not only good at, he can usually sum it up in one or two sentences, a song, or a scene in a movie.
You go on and on about "perspective taking", all the while being completely unable to take the perspective of those you disagree with. Rolleyes

Oh, you mean like your petty bitching and whining in this post...and almost every reply to me? Rolleyes

Okay, show us an example of a "trivial point". O_o

Like most your whinging, it's all a cover for your inability to support your own arguments.

Instead having to persuade everyone in the group to ignore you, it might be easier if we just stepped outside.

Not everyone here is a delicate flower. And I only suggest ignoring me when it becomes clear that they're too addicted to whinging about things and may need a little extra push. But then, there's no accounting for people who like to whine.

People quit responding to you not because they can't support their arguments but because nobody wants to cramp their souls goin thru your longwinded anal obsessive overanalysis of petty shit over and over again. I actually feel less human after reading your bitchy toxic rants. That's why people ignore you.

Yeah, Syne, we see it.
Perfect example of how you're incapable of doing what you preach to others.
Oh, were you hoping I'd give you the last word. Would that really help your fragile ego? O_o

It's your own problem if you form opinions without much critical thinking.

And if reading my posts makes you "feel less human", you've got a much deeper problem that anything a stranger on the internet could ever hope to address.

You should have thought of that before it made you "feel less human". Rolleyes
Your posts have definitely sounded "less human". More like a troll-bot.

I do think of it...every time I don't read one of your posts.
