Is Superficiality necessary for Integrity

To elaborate, are the superficial perspectives of human beings necessary for their integrity? Can they even be called superficial or is it such that superficiality is a natural tendency of human beings? Could we be superficial by nature and in so doing, be deep as long as there are no costs to others?
I have answered this simple question by relating motivations of greed with the human nature of superficiality.
