The article reminded me of analog things like tape measures and calipers. Also home mechanical instrument weather stations.

The nearest coffee shop to my residence is about 10 km away and right across the street is a three story shipping container dwelling. First one I've ever seen up close. you wouldn't know it unless standing real close to it. The owner has disguised it well.

It seems like a building made of shipping containers would be low maintenance.  Maintaining property can take so much from a person's resources of time and money.
