The Dell business laptop (Latitudes) that I've been looking at would allow three different kinds of connection: (1) mobile broadband wireless SIM, (2) wifi, and (3) hard-wired ethernet. My wife and I can use it as backup to our two computers if the power fails for an extended length of time. (Although I do have a generator for catastrophic power failures -- haven't had to use it yet -- knock on wood.) We could take it on vacations.
I'm not an Apple guy -- never had an Apple device. I don't dislike them -- just never had one. For better or worse I'm at home with Windows. This laptop would be loaded with Windows 10 Pro.
