small detail is, if the US does go over the cliff, the very last thing to happen before that will be the finger on the nuclear button as the fingernails dig in to the cliff face.

a few thoughts on the ban.
the entire US government system is politacised which is governed by a bi-partisan theology where there are only 3 options.
1 pro
2 con
3 avoid any comment either way

seems a little mediaval to me on an intellectual scale.

second thing, because of the lack of collective will to create a system of care for its citizens, money is placed as a primary value above all other things,
which as a matter of irony is in stark contrast to the US puratin founders who sought to isolate themselves as a minority religion to gain a sense of security and ideological control(matched with ideological genocide).

what a truly bizar mix.
soo there is all this fighting going on under the surface where money is paramount and any way to get money is validated as an acceptable process.
thus along comes litigous culture in place of a culture of care.
sueing a person is more important than having empathic caring processes and social rules.
in fact to not care is seen as a governing requirement to maintain social order.

soo... considering all that murky under current going on and all sorts f people and groups attemtping to make hay while the sun shines...
the ban means pretty much nothing.
i could interpret the ban to mean that the POTUS and those supporting him beleive that the US has lost control of its own government systems and is a panic reaction to attempt to stop something that is out of control.
yet again "out of control" is just another form of ligitimised funding budgets to exercise power and money out of the public purse strings.
ligitamising extortive fear mongering in place of social support systems... forcing people to pay for th estick that will be used to beat them with while denying them the ability to build a environment that would not require beating.
in fact the christian premis is beating of people and children is required.
go figure.

the message that is being repeated over and over by the US government  is that there is no faith left in the US government agencies by the Elected officials.
that is a prelude to war in all historical accounts.

Quote:Yeah, it does serve a gladiator spectator-ship from the mid or upper rows of the coliseum. Ironically, the uncivil extremes and "being on the wrong side" of political piety might be less likely to get one in ban trouble here as opposed to SciForums; and yet it probably tends to be more passive here in comparison.
Personally, I do rather love this little community, as it is and so far. Lovely little thing, not bent one way or the other as an entity.
And I think that perhaps I should bow to you in this regard and not bring it up again. I sense a certain... reluctance, on the part of those who have posted.
And I would prefer to believe that that is the result of seeing this place as one in which is is not strictly kosher to do so, rather than as a result of enforcement.
I think I agree.
